NCLGISA offers scholarships to cover continuing education costs for members. NCLGISA offers scholarships to members who would like to attend its continuing education symposium but who do not have money available for training. The application window is open for the spring symposium NCLGISA scholarship has closed; applicants will be notified the week of March 12.
As a co-sponsor of the UNC School of Government's CGCIO program, NCLGISA offers a scholarship to cover the cost of tuition for a local government employee accepted into the program. The scholarship application window has closed for the 2012 class.
Members are also eligible for other training scholarships through the LGFCU. The next deadline to apply with LGFCU is April 1. LGFCU offers scholarships for any School of Government course including the CGCIO program and the NCLGISA symposium.
NCLGISA also offers scholarships to college students interested in a public-sector IT career. Such candidates must be sponsored by a government agency.
Scholarship requests will be submitted to the NCLGISA board members for review, consideration, and selection. Applicants will be notified of their request status.
