The HackAthon is a new twist on the Demo Slam! NCLGISA members can work alone or together to develop applications that engage & benefit citizens using open data source from government agencies. Specifics will be given at the NCLGISA symposium for onsite developing; however, you must pre-register to participate. All 8 entries will be demonstrated during a special Demo Slam! session. Email us to sign up!
We are also currently seeking Demo Slam! spring 2012 participants. You need to have implemented a great idea or project, and you get 5-minutes to describe how the project solved an issue in your agency. Please email us for more information or to sign up for one of the 8 time slots.
Congratulations to Jason Eades of Catawba County, the fall symposium Demo Slam winner! Our top finalist included Jason Clay (City of Newton), Chris Callahan (City of Havelock), and Anthony Daniels (Forsyth County).
