As the President of the North Carolina Local Government Information System Association, I would like to welcome you to the NCLGISA website. Hopefully you will find everything you wanted to know about our organization within these pages.
If you are an Information Technologies (including GIS) professional employed by a local government or educational system in North Carolina, I personally welcome you to become a member of our great organization. NCLGISA's goal is to enhance the professionalism of its members by providing training, support and career development to all of its members. Under the guidance of the School of Government at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, we seek to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of local government information technology departments throughout the state. We accomplish this goal by providing two training conferences per year, supporting an active list server and sponsoring numerous training opportunities throughout the year.
