NCLGISA offers training opportunities throughout the year. Our primary events include the fall and spring conferences. Additionally, we co-sponsor training events across the state.
Upcoming Events:
NCLGISA partners with the UNC School of Government's Center for Public Technology to offer training for local government technology professionals. All courses offered in conjunction with the UNC School of Government are eligible for continuing education credits at the rate of 1 credit per 8 hour training. These classes include the CIO certification program where top-tier technology employees learn the business acumen needed to lead their departments and to work with other department heads from across their organizational units. In addition to subsidizing regional trainings around the state, NCLGISA offers scholarships for members to attend CIO School and NCLGISA conferences.
